Product overview

The FEP-ETHx2 dual-port gigabit Ethernet card module features two YT8531 domestic network port chips (PIN to PIN RTL8211). This chip is suitable for RGMIl-COPPER scenarios, connecting to the MAC via the RGMII interface and to the media side via the COPPER interface. The chip supports three speeds: 10/100/1000BASE-T, offering both auto-negotiation and manual configuration modes.

The FEP-ETHx2 dual-port gigabit Ethernet card module comes in two versions: the 1V8 version and the 3V3 version.

The chip mainly consists of the GEPHY module, GMl/RGMII interface conversion module, register management module, and clock reset module. In the transmission direction, the chip first receives RGMII data from the MAC performs double-edge sampling and bit-width expansion, converts it to GMll data, and then converts the data to standard 10M/100M/1000M electrical port data for transmission. In the reception direction, the chip first receives standard 10M/100M/1000M electrical port data, converts it to GMll data, then performs sampling and

bit-width compression, converts it to RGMII data, and sends it to the MAC via the RGMl interface.

Note: The 1V8 version and the 3V3 version cannot be mixed!
